From Nukus to Khiva through ancient fortresses
We start our fascinating journey from Nukus. Our first stop is Chilpik (1st century AD), a symbol of Zoroastrian culture. As we ascend to the Tower of Silence, we'll immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of ancient rituals and mystique.
The Baday-Tugai Reserve is a true oasis established to protect tugai forests along the Amu Darya River and serves as a home to many animals: wild boar, tolai hare, fox, jackal, jungle cat (the largest cat in Central Asia), badger, marten, steppe polecat, long-eared hedgehog, and numerous rodents. Of course, the Bukhara deer is especially valued here.
Visit the fortress of Kyzyl-Kala (1st-7th centuries), an impressive example of ancient architecture, embedded in the history of Khorezm. We'll feel the grandeur of ancient times and witness architectural masterpieces.
Explore the Toprak-Kala Palace city (1st-4th centuries AD), the residence of Khorezmian kings. Walking through its walls, we'll delve into ancient times and important events of history.
Encounter the majestic Ayaz-Kala fortress (2nd-7th с ВС), which defended the oasis from nomadic raids. With its breathtaking view of the Kyzylkum Desert and history of the Kushan Empire.

On the way to Khiva, you will visit the ruins of fortresses and the Badai-Tugay Reserve.
Transfer to Chilpyk-Kala: Zoroastrian burial tower (1st century BCE)
Badai-Tugay: Excursion to the reserve, acquaintance with flora and fauna. You will see the critically endangered Bukhara deer and visit the Amu Darya riverbank.
