From Muynak to the Aral Sea
The trip to the Aral Sea offers a unique opportunity to discover the region, with its contrasting landscapes of extinct seas and natural wonders, as well as to be swept away by human folly and the breathtaking scenery of the new Aral Kum Desert.

Itinéraire détaillé
The tour begins in Muynak.
We’ll head to the Aral Sea in 4x4 off-road vehicles (Toyota Land Cruiser or similar). We’ll see the vast canyons of the Ustyurt Plateau and ancient nomadic burial grounds. Along the way, we’ll visit Kubla Ustyurt, a small village built during the Soviet era in the middle of the Ustyurt Plateau, where we can taste fresh camel milk and visit an abandoned airstrip
Arrival at the coast. We’ll explore the surroundings, go for a swim, take a walk, and visit Kurgancha Kala (12th–14th centuries), a fortified trading center on the Silk Road from the early Middle Ages.
In the afternoon, we’ll return to Muynak.
