Darvaza - Gas Crater from Khiva
Discover a unique journey from the ancient city of Khiva to the mysterious Darwaza - the Gates of Hell. Passing through the Karakum Desert, you will reach Darwaza, a giant burning crater, which the locals call the Gates of Hell. This area is rich in natural gas. While drilling in 1971, Soviet geologists stumbled upon a cavern filled with natural gas. The ground beneath the drilling rig collapsed, leaving a large hole 60 meters in diameter and 20 meters deep. To avoid the release of poisonous gases, it was decided to burn it. The geologists hoped that the fire would use up all the fuel in a few days, but the gas is still burning.
This amazing natural phenomenon is mesmerizing in its scale and power, creating an unforgettable spectacle, especially at night. Весь маршрут без учёта прохождения границ занимает около 6 часов и составляет 360 км
Трансфер на узбекско-туркменский пограничный пункт Шават. Пограничные формальности. Переезд в Куня-Ургенч (1,5 ч).
Обзорная экскурсия по Куня-Ургенчу: посещение Портала Караван-сарая, Минарета Мамуна, Мавзолея II Арслана, Мавзолея Султана Текеша, Академии Хорезма, Минарета Кутлуг Тимура, Мавзолея Турабека Ханума.
Обед
После обеда поездка в Дарвазу горящего газового кратера (3,5 ч). Кратер также называют «дверью в ад».
Прибытие и размещение в лагере возле кратера. Вечером полюбуйтесь захватывающим и завораживающим видом газового кратера.
Ужин с барбекю и ночевка в лагере у газового кратера.
Завтрак
